Class: 10 Date: 4 April 2026
The session titled ‘Ayurveda: A Holistic Approach to Health and Wellness’ was conducted by the alumni of NPS Yeshwanthpur, Dr.Sampada Joshi on Saturday, April 4 2026. This session aimed to introduce the students of class 10 to the Ancient Indian System of Medicine and its relevance in the modern world. The core objective was to educate the attendees on how to achieve harmony between the mind, body and spirit through preventive care, mindful eating and daily routines.
A major segment of the session was dedicated to the three vital energies or Doshas that govern the physiological and psychological functions of our body, namely - Vata (Space & Air) linked to movement, creativity and the nervous system ; Pitta (Fire & Water)linked to digestion, metabolism, and intelligence and Kapha (Earth & Water) Linked to structure, immunity, and stability.
The session successfully demystified Ayurveda, presenting it not just as an alternative medical system, but as a practical, everyday lifestyle guide. The students left with actionable insights to take charge of their own health through simple dietary and routine adjustments.
