Ayodhya to Lanka: A SEWA Showcase

Students of Class 9D presented a captivating assembly on the theme “From Ayodhya to Lanka: A SEWA Showcase” on Tuesday and Wednesday, 23rd and 24th September. The focus of the presentation was on the Kishkindha Kanda and the Sundar Kanda from the epic Ramayana. The assembly began with a thoughtful invocation, setting a devotional and reflective tone. This was followed by a series of performances — including a vibrant skit, a soulful musical rendition and a dynamic dance sequence — that brought alive the spirit of courage, friendship and devotion depicted in the Ramayana.
The Kishkindha Kanda highlighted the forging of alliances, the strength of unity and Hanuman’s dedication, while the Sundar Kanda showcased Hanuman’s heroic leap to Lanka and his unflinching loyalty to Lord Rama. The students beautifully conveyed the timeless values of service (sewa), sacrifice and perseverance through their creative acts.
The assembly concluded with the message that the teachings of the Ramayana are not just mythological episodes but guiding lights for building character, courage and compassion in our own lives. The assembly left a lasting impression on the audience and was deeply appreciated by all.
